Pipeline construction and installation method
1. Cutting
Straight pipes can be easily cut with simple tools such as wheel-shaped plastic pipe cutters, electric saws, or saws for cutting plastic pipes with intact teeth. When cutting, try to ensure that the tube is cut vertically and flat. The more vertical the tube cut surface, the larger the bonding area.
2. Deburring
Use a chamfering tool or file to remove the bristles inside and outside the pipe end. It is also recommended to apply appropriate chamfering to make the nozzle easy to enter the hub, and to reduce the chance of wiping the solvent glue on the accessories.
3. Accessory preparation
Wipe off the dust and moisture on the joint surface of the pipe and fittings with a clean dry cloth. And check the test connection of the tube and the fittings. UPVC pipe should be able to easily enter the fitting sleeve 1/2 to 3/4 deep, and CPVC pipe should be able to easily enter the fitting sleeve 1/3 to 1/2 deep.
4. Apply cleaning agent
When the pipe and fittings are connected, the glued joint surface needs to be penetrated and softened with a cleaning agent to improve the melting effect of the solvent glue. Use an applicator or brush about half the diameter of the pipe (not to use a rag) to apply the cleaning agent Apply evenly on the outer surface of the pipe end and the inner surface of the fitting socket. Large-size pipe fittings should be joined or the number and amount of application should be increased if necessary to ensure the softening effect of the surface.
5. Apply solvent glue
Solvent glue must be applied after the cleaning agent on the surface of the tube is finished. The joining surface must be saturated and softened. The viscose should be applied with a natural bristle brush that is half the diameter of the tube. A thick layer of glue should be applied to the outside of the end of the pipe, and a medium thickness of glue should be applied to the inner surface of the fitting socket. For pipes larger than DN50, apply a second layer of glue to the end or increase the number of applications.
6. Combination
After the glue is applied, the tube should be inserted into the fitting socket immediately and rotated 1/4 turn. The tube must be in contact with the bottom of the fitting socket. The interface combination should be kept fixed for 20 to 30 seconds to ensure the initial joint (the joint of pipe fittings above DN150 needs to be clamped with special tools for tensioners and left for more than 15 minutes). Glue overflow around the junction of the pipe and fittings should be obvious. If the overflow adhesive around the hub mouth is not connected, it means that the applied adhesive is insufficient. If this is the case, it is recommended to discard the accessories and reassemble the interface. The excess glue can be wiped off with a rag.
Technical Parameters of Solvent Adhesive
Note: The initial setting time refers to the time necessary for the pipe to be moved carefully after bonding. The initial setting time should be increased by 50% in wet or humid weather.
Note: Drying time refers to the time necessary for pressure to be applied after the pipe is bonded, and the drying time should be increased by 50% in wet or humid weather.
